The display unit comprises a plinth (1) with articulated walls (4,5). A long U-shaped structure (2) has a central panel (8) on which are hinged two side walls (9). Two indentations are made at one end of the panel edge to be engaged in indentations in the plinth. There are trays (3) with side walls (15) which each have a projecting part in their rear. These projections are engaged in two slots in the central panel and locked there under the weight of tray.
