A booster (50) comprises an explosive (54) and a shell housing (52). The shell has an open end (57) to receive an end of the detonating cord (58) and an indented closed end (56) to form a projectile to strike another booster when the explosive detonates. An Independent claim is also included for a method to relay a detonation train from a detonating cord to a booster.
