The spray nozzle comprises a central swirl chamber (9) in its rear part where the fluid to be sprayed penetrates a vortex through fluid inlet channels (14). The fluid leaves the swirl chamber through a cylindrical or slightly conical outlet passage (12) which converges towards the outlet. The inlet orifice is flanged with a rear front end annular rib (30) which is enclosed by a free annular front portion (33) of the swirl chamber. This reduces the minimum flow rate of the nozzle and the size of the sprayed droplets.
