The bag, made from a plastic film strip with a lengthwise weld (7) to form a tube and transverse welds (8, 9) made at intervals as it is filled through a funnel, has zones (4) of a long-term adhesive on its inner surface which allow the bag to be re-sealed after it has first been opened by cutting off the upper weld seam (9). The adhesive zones are in the form of strips across the top of the bag but below the level of the upper weld, with sufficient space to prevent the adhesive being located accidentally in line with the weld. The outer surface (5) of the plastic strip used to make the bags has an anti-adhesive coating, either in zones or continuous, to prevent the adhesive strips from adhering to it before the tube is formed.
