Voltage non-linear resistor for over voltage protective device, has sintered compact and high resistant layer containing mullite, orthoaluminum phosphate, ferrite and iron oxide

A voltage non-linear resistor has a sintered compact (1) made of zinc oxide, and a high resistant layer (3) on the side of sintered compact. The high resistant layer contains Al6Si2O3 (mullite), 1.0-25 weight percent (wt.%) of AlPO4 (ortho aluminum phosphate), 0.1-15 wt.% of MnFe2O4 (ferrite) and 0.1-15 wt.% of Fe2O3 (iron oxide). An Independent claim is also included for manufacture of voltage non-linear resistor.
