The device is operated simply by operation of the dispensing lever to give a direct count of the number of operations. The dose counter for a fluid dispenser comprises a counter wheel (10,11) which is actuated by an actuator (20) each time that the distributor mechanism of the dispenser is used. The counting mechanism comprises at least one flexible rotating disc with counting marks. This is applied to, and turns on a curved support surface (1,2). The rotating disc has a set of teeth around its circumference, and the actuating element comprises an elastic arm which engages these teeth in order to advance the disc. The flexible disc is deformed by each action of the dispenser and actuator in order to remain in contact with its support surface. The counting may be performed by two rotating discs which may be selectively coupled, in order to provide a greater number of counting steps on the display.
