A method for the treatment of steel-making slag is characterised in that it uses the following steps:- a) the slag is tipped in the molten state into a vessel then solidified in air; b) a quantity of water sufficient to humidify the assembly of slag is tipped onto the solidified slag; c) the mixture is left until the water has disappeared by absorption and evaporation; and then d) the vessel is emptied.
