The antenna system is placed on an aircraft fuselage (100) with an upper antenna (140) and lower antenna (210). The upper and lower antennas are separated in wavelength clockwise by a half wavelength minus a quarter wavelength, whilst in the anti clockwise direction they are separated by a half wavelength plus a quarter wavelength. Thus a half wave destructive interference is created between the two antennas, improving isolation between the two antennas.
