The supply device which can be a connector for compressed air pipes has a main part (3) with mechanically strong body (10) coated on the outside with a nickel layer (11) which a layer thickness of between 2um and 10 um, which in turn is coated with a layer of chrome with a layer thickness between 0.1 um and 2 um. A copper layer can be included between the basic body and the nickel layer. The basic body can be made of brass, aluminium, zinc, steel or plastics.
