Dynamometric soles for detecting asymmetries and postural instabilities of animal or human, where soles are made of front and rear pressure plates supported on beam, including strain gauges, and lower plate
Device comprises two soles on which a person stands. Each sole has a lower plate or frame (1) on which a beam (9) is fixed. The beam supports two pressure plates (2,3) on which the heel and ball of the foot rest respectively and supports the sensors that measure the forces exercised on the two plates. The beam (9) deforms parallel to the pressure plates on one or other of its frees sides with a constant moment allowing a certain amount of flexing for a given force, independent of its point of application on the pressure plates. Measurement of the applied forces is using strain gauges stuck to the beam at flexing and compression points. The soles are made of rigid material such as aluminum AUG4.
