The apparatus consists of a transparent panel (4) mounted adjustably on supports (3) in front of a mirror (2) and marked with geometrical figures which correspond to most basic face shapes - a triangle (5), oval (6), a square (7) and a circle (8). The user aligns his/her facial reflection in the mirror with the geometrical figure corresponding most closely to the shape of his/her face, and is then able to select a pair of spectacle frames from the range marked with the same figure as being most suitable for that particular facial shape. The apparatus can be used in conjunction with a fixed or adjustable seat.
