The antirotation device is fitted to a connector at the end of a gas hose. The connector consists of an internally threaded cap mounted so that it can rotate freely on a nozzle (4) with flattened sides (10). A retaining lever (12) is fitted on to the nozzle which has an orifice in the shape of a buttonhole (13). The top section has parallel sides (14a, 14b) which cooperate with the flat sides of the nozzle. The bottom section (15) has a diameter which is greater than the widest part of a connecting ring between the nozzle and the gas hose.
