Forming a decorative transparent plastic sheet includes applying motifs of a first type on the underside of the sheet and then applying adjacent them motifs of a second type. The first type is of lacquer or ink including sparkling particles. The second type is of gloss, satin or matt ink or lacquer and do not contain sparkling particles. An Independent claim is included for the following: (a) a ski or snow board has an upper decorative, protective sheet as above Preferred Features: The sheet is flexible. The first type are made from iridescent, pearl-like or metallic paint including gilded or silvered sequins. Both motifs = 5mm. The decorated sheet is covered with a clear lacquer.
