The friction clutch has a reaction plate (20), designed to be connected to an arm and to carry a rotor (3) of the rotary electrical machine, such as the starter motor or alternator installed in the vehicle. A friction plate (6,7) has a friction lining (61,71) designed to engage with the reaction plate under the action of a clutch mechanism (14). The mechanism acts on the bottom (23) of a cover (15) solidly connected to the reaction plate, for acting on a pressure plate (13) rotatably connected with axial movement to the cover and reaction plate assembly. The friction lining is carried by supports (62,72) coupled by an set of springs (86) acting circumferentially on a hub (83) connected to an arm (8). The set of springs is movable axially in relation to the supports.
