An electronic label and a coil are implanted into a denture (1') cavity (10) and sealed in place with an appropriate material. The label stores data such as the date of installation, names of patient, dentist and maker and nature of the material used in the denture. The data may be read at any time by a computer based equipment which may also be used to write data on to the label .
