The controller for the electronic mechanism allows the user to unlock an electronic lock, with single use combinations, by activating a neutralization function for the single use combinations. The neutralization function modifies specific numerical data associated with these combinations as soon as these combinations are made the object of a positive comparison with a keyboard entered code. Electronic mechanism for control of a lock of the type having: means for inputting a code, via a keyboard, an autonomous electrical supply, code input analyzer, modifiable memory, memory read/write unit, comparator for input code and inscribed code, and unlocking signal transmitter when compared codes agree. The system ensures complete operation without the need for connection to any external data equipment either by electrical or radio-electrical means. The modifiable memory of if the micro-chip card type, on which is inscribed combinations designed for single use and with data associated with these single use combinations. The card is inserted in the equipment without the need for any tools by a lock and its associated circuits maintenance fitter. The controller for the electronic mechanism integrates other functions such as: deciphering of encrypted or non encrypted codes present on the removable and modifiable memory, a comparison function for the user entered code with all the deciphered codes in removable and fixed memory, a neutralization function for a removed code or by modification of numerical data associated with this code which limits the use a code to once only.
