Telecommunication system base station with band-pass filter for isolating FDD and TDD channels used for transmission and reception

The base station has a frequency band allocated for operation in a Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode and used for transmission and reception. Another frequency band is allocated for reception in a Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) mode. Yet another frequency band is provided for transmission in a FDD mode. The latter, frequency band for FDD reception comprises a number of channels, at least one of them to be assigned a TDD mode. The base station comprises at least one band-pass filter (20,22) of superconductor type and with steep slopes. The filter is provided in a channel(s) of FDD mode which is/are not assigned for operation in a TDD mode. The filter has a quality factor of at least 50 000 and at least 10 poles.
