An electronic drive unit (18) has an energy controller for accumulated energy (Eahps) stored in a high power energy accumulator (30) so as to optimize the management of electrical power exchanged between the automobiles electrical equipment's. The electrical machine group (10) has an electrical rotating machine (12) controlled by an electronic drive unit for operation as a motor or generator in response to the action of the vehicles accelerator (20) and/or brake (22) pedal, and which transmits a driving force to the vehicles wheels (16) via a transmission (14); vehicle electrical accessories (24); a drive battery (28) designed to exchange constant and reduced electrical power with other electrical systems, and a specific high power energy storage unit (30) which is designed to exchange a high short duration electrical power, to complement the battery power; the electronic drive unit also controls the state of the electrical machine, energy stored in the battery and manages the power exchanged between the vehicles electrical components.
