The dispenser (1) for a solid stick of a product, consists of a body (2) and cap (11), and a propulsion assembly with a male screw (5) and a central nut (7) with a female thread. The engagement between the male and female threads is only partial and has a degree of radial elasticity to allow deformation under stress which disengages one thread from the other and avoids breakage when forced. An Independent claim is also included for the uses of the dispenser.
