The payment method stores transaction data at a transaction handling service (22) connected to the Internet and, via a secure network, to a bank (24). The transaction data identifies client, vendor and product, and is sent to the bank. The client is given, by telephone (28), a transaction code, which is returned via the transaction service to the bank to charge the account and trigger delivery.
