A motorised trike for a disabled user comprises a hydraulically actuated lift which acts as a wheelchair access ramp. Hydraulic stabilisers may provide additional support when the lift is in use. The lift may be operated remotely and preferably folds upwards when not in use. The trike preferably comprises a converted motorbike and a chassis constructed from aluminium box-section. The user sits in the wheelchair in a cockpit area where handlebars are reachable. A console may swing downwards to clamp the wheelchair. Gears may be operated by push button and if a powered wheelchair is used, it may be charged by an alternator when the wheelchair is locked in position. The rear wheels of the trike are mounted on swing arms with brake drums and sprockets on the inner side to facilitate wheel changing.
