The greenhouse comprises a shell 12 supported by a suspended container 22 or part of the container and adapted to substantially surround the container. The shell may be formed of two plastic hemispheres 14, 16 which may interlock 26. The shell may be formed of flexible plastic material with inflatable ribs (fig 11) or rigid frame supports (figs 12). The shell may comprise inner and outer walls with an air gap between. A suspended tray (figs 8-10) for use with the shell is also disclosed. Instead of a suspended container the shell may surround an upheld container.
