Circular knitting machine for double-faced pile fabric with jacquard selection of sinkers

A circular knitting machine is adapted to knit double-faced pile fabric with a jacquard selection of pile/no pile on one face by means of two sinkers 1,2 in each trick, the sinker 2 having a selection jack 4 pivoted thereto and a jacquard selector depresses butts 41 on the jacks in accordance with a pattern so that their butts 42 are selectively advanced by a cam. The sinkers 1 draw pile loops in their throats 12 of a first pile yarn to one face of the fabric; the ground yarn passes between the sinkers into the throats 22 of the sinkers 2 to form ground loops; a second pile yarn is drawn by the needles to form loops on the other face over those sinkers 2 which have been advanced by the jacquard mechanism. The selection jacks 4 have means 7 for resetting them after a selection.
