The housing is shaped to hold a feed or water manger used for the horse to feed or drink from. The housing is a one piece flexible unit for fixing into the corner of a stable. It has an aperture in the top with a recessed ledge so that a manger bowl sits on the ledge and is not easiliy lifted out by the horse. The front top edge of the housing may be rounded so the horse cannot easily bite it or damage itself. The underbody of the housing (point 4) may be shaped so that the horse can stand at the manger housing without damaging its knees. At the same time the front face of the underbody of the housing ribbed (point 5) to provide strength to the housing and 'grip' to the horse should it be laying on the ground and wish to push itself away with its legs pressed against the housing. The shape of the housing is such that when the actual manger bowl is removed the housing can be easily washed or steam cleaned with no dirt or dust ledges. The material from which the housing is formed is strong, rot proof and waterproof in order to stand up to anticipated rough use and repeated dampness and cleaning.
