PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress lower order higher harmonic vibrations by connecting an electrical equivalent circuit of a vibrator to a series resonance circuit consisting of a main electrode, while connecting a series resonance circuit consisting of a sub-electrode and a vibration absorber in parallel to a coupling capacity representing connection of the main and sub-electrodes, and allowing a resonance circuit loop frequency including the main electrode and that including the sub-electrode to be identical. ;SOLUTION: A pair of main electrodes 2a and 2b facing each other are provided on the top and under surfaces located almost at the center of a piezoelectric substrate 1. Then facing sub-electrodes 3a and 3b are placed at both sides near the electrodes 2a and 2b with a gap (g) secured between them. A substance 4, e.g. a conductive coating material that mechanically absorbs vibration energy is applied to the electrodes 3a and 3b. Then input resistance is maximized and lower order higher harmonic vibrations are suppressed by means of an equivalent circuits L1, C1 and R1 of mechanical resonance of electrodes 2a and 2b, an equivalent circuits L2, C2 and R2 of mechanical resonance of electrodes 3a and 3b, an electrostatic capacity CO secured between the electrodes 2a and 2b, and an acoustic connection Ck secured between the electrodes 2a/2b and 3a/3b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
