摘要

PURPOSE: To decrease the man-hours for repairs and to improve a service life in a method for repairing an upper nozzle mounted at the bottom of a vessel for molten metal. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for repairing the upper nozzle 2 mounted at the bottom 1 of the vessel for molten metal comprises the insertion of alumina cylindrical refractories 3 into the inside hole of the nozzle in the repair of the upper nozzle 2 mounted at the bottom 1 of the vessel for molten metal and spraying and packing of magnesia monolithic refractories 5 between the cylindrical refractories 3 and the worn surface 4 of the inside hole of the nozzle. The monolithic refractories 5 and the cylindrical refractories 3 abut on each other and the detachment of the cylindrical refractories 3 is prevented. The preceding erosion at the boundary between the monolithic refractories 5 and the cylindrical refractories 3 is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
