PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus which can additionally overwrite an image on a photograph of a subject. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a camera 6 which photographs the subject 2 and changes the photographed image into an electrical image signal, and a printer 9 which receives an image signal relevant to the image of the subject 2 photographed by the camera 6 and prints the photographed image on a print medium 15. The printer 9 has a first recording head 43 which records the photographed image having been shot by the camera 6 on the print medium 15, and a second recording head 45 which prints the overwritten image on the print medium 15. Accordingly, one unit of printer 9 is enough to be accommodated in a chassis 1, the housing capacity for the printer 9 can be small, the chassis itself can become small, and conventional paper supply mechanism becomes unnecessary. Therefore, paper feeding errors hardly occur and shutdown of the printer or print troubles such as misalignment of print position of images may hardly occur.
