PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form child seedlings whose flower buds are directed in a substantially constant direction after set in a main field. SOLUTION: A culture bed 2 for setting a parent seedling is disposed at a prescribed height from the ground surface in the device for raising the child seedlings of a plant. A liner-supporting member 4 which has liner-supporting members 41 each capable of approximately horizontally supporting a part of a liner 11 climbing over the side wall of the culture bed 2 and further growing downward and which further has child seedling-culturing media 42 disposed at places adjacent to the liner-supporting members 41 is disposed at the lower part of the side wall of the culture bed 2.
