PURPOSE: To prevent the fluctuation of the relative time position of plural optical pulses which are time-multiplexed. ;CONSTITUTION: The repetitive pulse frequencies of the optical pulse Bd branched by an optical demultiplexer 2 and the optical pulse Ad branched by an optical demultiplexer 5 are extracted respectively by photodetectors 7 and 11, amplifiers 8 and 12 and BPF 9 and 13. Phase shifters 10 and 14 adjust phases and a phase difference is detected by a phase detector 15. Error voltage outputted from an amplifier 17 in response to the phase difference is supplied to an external control-type variable delay circuit 4 through a phase adjustment control circuit 18, and delay quantity is controlled so that the optical pulse Ad is positioned in the center of the optical pulse Bd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
