PURPOSE: To provide an economic running controller and control method for linear motor conveying system in which a predetermined section of conveying path can be used as a car shed. ;CONSTITUTION: A predetermined zone 1Z of a conveying path is divided into blocks each comprising at least one ground side driving section for linear motor and operation thereof is controlled for each block. The operation is controlled depending on the fact that power is fed nor not to a truck detector corresponding to the ground side driving section for an objective linear motor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
