PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope digger, a supporting machine. and a slope digging unit which allow a safe and efficient job of removing rocks, earth, and sand from a slope and ensure good operability. ;SOLUTION: A slope digger 5 is of the remotely controlled type supported by wire rope 4 and raised and lowered along a slope 1 to dig the slope. The slope digger 5 includes a crawler type lower traveling element 24, an articulated arm 29 mounted at the front of its vehicle body, and a bucket 34 mounted at the end of the articulated arm 29. A supporting machine 2 has an upper turning element 9 installed on a lower traveling element 7 via a turning device. A winch 10 is installed on the upper turning element 9, and a wire rope support 12 is attached in such a way as to be freely raised and lowered. A sheave 11 a to which the wire rope 4 that is wound on and extended from the winch 10 is hooked is attached to the end of the wire rope support 12.
