PURPOSE: To precisely control the temperature of both vacuum and cosmic precise electronic equipments and their surfaces. ;CONSTITUTION: A covering body 1 changes its thermo-optical physical property in response to the temperatures of the temperature control subjects such as the precise electronic equipments that are used in the vacuum and cosmic spaces. Then a control mechanism is added to control the thermo-optical physical property of the body 1. This body 1 is made of a shape memory alloy which contains plural notches 1b which open and close on the surface of the body 1 in response to the temperature of the subject or the surface temperature of the body 1. The control mechanism consists of a coating material, etc., that has the different thermo-optical physical property from the shape memory alloy applied on each inner surface 1c which is exposed by each open notch 1b. In such a constitution, the rise and fall of temperature can be suppressed for the precise electronic equipment that is subjected to the high and low temperature cycles, the temperature of the electronic equipment is controlled in its available range, and a normal operation of the electronic equipment is secured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
