Use and as nitrocellulose manicure film resin arylsulfonyl urethane, novel arylsulfonyl urethane and nitrocellulose nail

PURPOSE: To produce a new compd. useful as film forming resin in nitrocellulose nail varnishes. ;CONSTITUTION: Poly(arylsulphonylurethane) shown by the formula [(n) is 2 to 5; A is the main chain of polyol A (OH)_n selected from an organic functional group, polymethylene glycol, polyethertriol, glycerol, xylitol or the like, having 2 to 5 arylsulphonylurethane groups and possessing a molecular mass of 450 to 1500. The compd. is obtd. by allowing the compd. of Ar-SO₂-NCO (Ar is an aromatic group which may contain a hetero ring) to react with polyol. As the substitution for arylsulphonamideformaldehyde resin contg. formaldehyde as carcinogenic substance, the compd. is usable, and nail varnishes of high quality can easily be obtd. at a low cost without forming formaldehyde even if time has passed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
