PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the weather ability of an oriented strand board(OSB) which is thermally molded under pressure of wood splinter strands with a synthetic resin, and expand the scope of use applications of the OBS. ;SOLUTION: An orientated strand board constructional material (OSB) which is delivered from its place of origin and maintains its specified measurements at a content of moisture of about 2%, is heated and moisturized in a moisturizing chamber 1 in such a manner that a water-resistant synthetic resin adhesive used for the molding and hardening of OSB is qualitatively not deteriorated. Further, the OSB is caused to develop a dimensional distortion by the absorption of moisture through setting the moisture content at 8-13% as far as the center, and is again out to the specified dimensions at a normal temperature under a normal pressure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
