PURPOSE: To provide a travel guide device for a monorail type mobile carrier that can obtain a stable traveling state with little sway and play. CONSTITUTION: A travel guide device for a monorail type mobile carrier is provided with a travel frame 3 conveying a workpiece in a suspended state so that a hanging point P is positioned directly under the nearly center position of a travel rail 2, a traveling wheel 6 traveling on the travel rail 2 in a position shifted to the side of the travel rail 2, an upper guide roller 10 coming in contact with the side face 2D of the travel rail 2 on the traveling wheel 6 side, in a position higher than the traveling wheel supporting face of the travel rail 2, and a lower guide roller 11 coming in contact with the side face 2E on the opposite side to the side face 2D with which the upper guide roller 10 comes in contact, in a position lower than the upper guide roller 10. The upper guide roller 10 and the lower guide roller 11 are respectively brought into contact with the side faces 2D, 2E of the travel rail 2 by moment acting upon the travel frame 3 from the hanging point P.Sway and play of the mobile carrier 1 during travel can thereby be prevented.
