PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for greening a surface unsuitable for planting, by which a concrete or metal wall surface unsuitable for the planting can simply be greened by the planting. SOLUTION: This method for greening a surface unsuitable for planting comprises adhering a nonwoven fabric or an elastic resin sheet-adhered nonwoven fabric to a concrete or metal wall surface unsuitable for the planting, and then planting creeping plants such as ivies at places near to the nonwoven fabric. The planted creeping plants creep and grow to take roots on the nonwoven fabric, thus covering the surface of the nonwoven fabric. Thereby, the concrete or metal wall surface unsuitable for the planting can be greened.
