Relay connector assembly and cable side connector used for the same

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction connector assembly, whose overall height is small, allowing certain contact between an earth surface of a flexible cable such as FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit Board) and a shell of the cable side connector used for it. SOLUTION: This junction connector assembly 1 comprises a cable side connector 10 connected with a flexible cable A and a board side connector 60 fitting with the connector 10 and connecting with a circuit board B. A cable side shell 50 of the connector 10 has an elastic contactor 58a elastically contacting with earth surface of the cable A. The elastic contactor 58a is arranged at a position displaced from a cable side contact 30 in the direction of insertion to a cable side housing 20 of a slide member 40 transverse to the direction of top and bottom of the housing 20.
