PURPOSE: To prevent the stripping of a catalystic coated layer caused by thermal shock resistance and to reduce pressure loss in a catalystic body using a metallic base material. ;CONSTITUTION: A catalystic carrier slurry for coating the surface of the base material composed of a ferrite based stainless steel containing aluminum is composed of a water based composition containing at least an inorganic heat resistant particle having high specific surface area, a noble metal, polyethylene glycol and acetylene glycol. And a catalystic slurry further contains a noble metal.
