PURPOSE:To recover waste heat of combustion exhaust gas of a burner of a regenerator in winter and to prevent corrosion of a waste heat recovering heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A heat recovering system for a double effect direct burning absorption chilled and hot water machine 1 is provided. The system has an indirect hot water manufacturing unit for producing hot water by waste heat of a burner 2 of a regenerator 3 of the machine 1. The unit has a heating tank 50 in which heat medium water is filled, a waste heat recovering heat exchanger 55 for recovering water heat of combustion exhaust gas of the burner 2 to heat the heat medium flowing through an inner heat medium passage by the waste heat, and a heat radiator 56 dipped in the medium water of the tank 50 to dissipate heat of the medium flowing therein. Further, the unit has a circulation passage 57 for circulating the medium between the exchanger 55 and the radiator 56, and a heat receiver 53 disposed in the tank 50 to heat supply hot water flowing through an inner supply hot water passage with the heated medium water.
