PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of an apparatus for improving city water quality by controlling a valve body and an injection pump by the signal of the first or second level gauge in a water receiving tank and the quantities of city water and an almost saturated hydrated lime aqueous solution to be supplied. ;SOLUTION: The first level gauge 19 constituted from at least the first electrode 18a, the second electrode 18b, the third electrode 18c, and the fourth electrode 18d and the second level gauge consisting of a float 20 are arranged in a water receiving tank 6. When quality-improved city water W₄ in the tank 6 is supplied to a condominium which uses the water by actuating water sending pump 15, the level WL in the tank is lowered. When the level reaches a level WL'₂ slightly above a lower limit level WL₂, a valve body 12 is opened by a signal V₂ from the second electrode 18b, which is the first level gauge 19, city water W₂ is supplied from the first supply pipe 7 into the tank 6, an injection pump 4 is actuated, an almost saturated hydrated lime aqueous solution (b) is supplied from the second supply pipe 5 into the tank 6, and quality- improved city water W₄ is produced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
