PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately obtain the traveling body advancing acceleration, and the position and speed of a traveling body by accurately calculating absolute inclination angle in real time and with a high response frequency. ;SOLUTION: An inclination angle detecting means 1 detects an absolute inclination angle from the horizontal surface. Then, an angle detecting means 2 detects angular velocity which is an angle change up to a high band. An absolute inclination angle calculating means 3 calculates absolute inclination angle up to a high band from DC, from the inclination angle by the means 1 and angular velocity information by the means 2. An inclination correcting means 5 corrects the influence of the gravity component due to inclination contained in the acceleration obtained by an acceleration detection means 4. When the absolute position and absolute speed are obtained by a GPS using an absolute position/absolute speed detection means 6, difference of the time one cycle before to the absolute time, is compared with an acceleration by the means 5, the influence by an acceleration offset is corrected. When no absolute position and speed are obtained, an acceleration offset value obtained up to the previous time is held for correction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
