BASEMENT BY MEANS OF PRECAST CONCRETE WALL UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basement or a pit, which is adjacent to a boundary of a lot and an existing building, simplifies work at a building site, and enables easy and reliable execution of outside insulation and outside waterproofing. SOLUTION: A structural wall member, which is made of precast reinforced concrete, is composed of an integrally-molded cylindrical lowermost wall unit 1 and an upper wall unit 2 having at least one step. An inner wall surface of a lower end of the wall unit 1 is formed in such a wedge shape as to be tapered outward from top to bottom, and an outer wall surface of the lower end thereof is formed in such a shape as to jut outside an upper wall surface, so as to not only enable an outside insulation treatment and an outside waterproofing treatment but also facilitates settling in a caisson method. The wall units 1 and 2 is joined together by a notched joining part 8 and fixed by a binding fitting 10 in order to provide a waterproofing treatment for the joining part 8. A base 3 is formed of cast-in-place reinforced concrete for constructing the wall unit and a rigid-framed structure. An upper floor slab 4 is installed by means of a precast concrete floor slab, the cast-in-place reinforced concrete or the like when required.
