PURPOSE: To construct a high-quality concrete underground continuous wall in the ground where there is a frozen soil portion, relating to a method for constructing underground continuous walls in the frozen soil. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for constructing an underground continuous wall in the ground where there is a frozen soil portion X includes forming a heat insulating wall 4 by pouring heat insulating backfill into a wide channel 1 excavated to near the boundary C between the frozen soil portion X and an unfrozen soil portion Y therebelow; and forming backfill layers 4a on both side walls of a narrow channel 5 by pouring concrete into the channel 5 which is excavated near the center of the thickness of the wall 4 and which is narrower than the broad channel 1, the heat insulating action of the layers 4a slowing cooling of the concrete by the frozen soil portion X.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
