PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a yellow toner for developing an electrostatic charge image having clear image characteristics free from fog and excellent in durability and stability by using specified polyester resin as a bonding resin, a specified compd. as a yellow colorant and specified fine powder of TiO2 or Al as an additive and imparting a specified wt. average particle diameter. SOLUTION: Fine powder of TiO2 or Al having 0.01-2μm average primary particle diameter made hydrophobic by treatment is added as an additive to yellow color toner particles contg. at least polyester resin having 2-25mgKOH/g acid value and 52-65 deg.C glass transition temp. as a bonding resin and a compd. represented by the formula as a yellow colorant to obtain the objective yellow color toner having 3.0-15.0μmwt.%. average particle diameter. The compd. represented by the formula is produced by condensing tetrachloroisoindolin-1-one or its deriv. and a diamine compd.
