PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage incinerator and method thereof which achieves further restriction and lowering of dioxins, which cannot so far do by combustion control with the concentration of CO as index. ;SOLUTION: A combustion furnace 11 is provided to burn garbage in combustion air inside, and a generation quantity measuring means 12 to measure the amount of chlorobenzene compounds or chlorophenol compounds generated in the combustion furnace 11. An arithmetic section 13 is provided to judge whether the amount of waste to be supplied to the combustion furnace and/or the amount of combustion air to be supplied to the combustion furnace is excessive or not based on a data of the quantity of the generated chlorobenzene compounds or chlorophenol compounds measured by the generation quantity measuring means 12 and generates a control signal and amount of supply adjusting means 14 and 15 are provided to adjust the quantity of the supplied waste and/or the amount of the combustion air according to the control signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
