PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the accurate classification counting of bone marrow nucleated cells or the like through preventing disturbance due to coagulation of lipid particles and/or hematocytes contained in a bone marrow liquid specimen.;SOLUTION: This method for the classification counting of bone marrow nucleated cells comprises the following steps: (1) a bone marrow liquid specimen is mixed with an erythrocytolytic agent to lyze the erythrocytes in the specimen and bring both leukocytic cells and erythroblastic cells to a condition suitable for staining followed by staining them with a fluorescent dye so as to develop a fluorescence intensity difference therebetween, (2) the resulting specimen is introduced into a flow cytometer to measure each at least one kind of scattered light and fluorescence, (3) using the intensity difference between the scattered light and fluorescence, the bone marrow nucleated cells, erythroblastic cells and leukocytic cells are put to classification counting respectively, (4) based on the respective counts of the bone marrow nucleated cells and erythroblastic or leukocytic cells, the count ratio of the bone marrow nucleated cells to erythroblastic or leukocytic cells is calculated, and (5) based on the respective counts of erythroblastic cells and leukocytic cells, the count ratio of the leukocytic cells to erythroblastic cells is calculated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
