PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents information managing device, its method, a program realizing the method and a recording medium with the program recorded thereon, controlling the output of contents data in accordance with an output destination device in a remote output and managing attribute data for controlling charging to the output of the contents data. SOLUTION: The contents information managing device is provided with a storing means 181 storing information associated with a contents ID uniquely identifying the contents, an input/output means 1082 connected with a network 106, and a control means 1083 controlling the whole device. The storing means 1081 stores attribute information () relevant to the output of the contents data designated by the contents ID. The control means 1082 retrieves the attribute information relevant to the output of the contents data from the storing means 1081 in accordance with contents information request data inputted from the network 106 via the input/output means 1082 and responds to a request source.
