PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drier suitable for efficiently drying a few sheets of bedding, and the like, simple in mechanism for selectively intercepting hot air in each drying rack, excellent in operability and reliability, and capable of efficiently drying bedclothes, and the like, different in size too without the by-passing of the hot air. SOLUTION: A casing 1 having an opening 3 is partitioned inside by a partition wall 7 into an atmospheric pressure chamber 8 communicating with a hot air inlet 4 and a negative pressure chamber 9 communicating with an inlet 5. The atmospheric pressure chamber 8 comprises therein three steps of partition plates 10 to 12 projecting toward the opening 3. It also comprises drying racks 13 to 15 provided on the partition plates 10 to 12, respectively, to form air channels 16 among them. The partition wall 7 comprises hot air outlets 17, which communicate with the channels and are openable and closable by hot air interrupting units 18. A hot air circulating unit 20 and a coercively discharging unit are provided on the casing 1.
