PURPOSE: To calculate and display the remaining spinning time to attain the full bobbin of a roving frame having successively varying flyer rotation speed. ;CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 28 constituting a controller 27 is composed of a CPU 29, a program memory 30 and a working memory 32. The controller 27 is provided with an inputting apparatus 31, a counter 33 and a display 34. The counter 33 receives the output signal from a rotational number detection device 26 and counts the length of roving delivered from a front roller, i.e. the spun length of the roving. The CPU 29 calculates the remaining spinning time necessary to get a full bobbin from the count value of the counter 33 and the operation condition including the varying pattern of the rotational speed of a flyer inputted from the inputting apparatus 31, a full bobbin spun length and the twist number.
