PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a probe library capable of corresponding to mutation of a virus to be detected by polymerizing one of deoxyribonucleotides, including deoxyribonucleotide analogs, in the presence of a protein with no template nor primer. ;SOLUTION: This probe library having diversity sufficiently capable of corresponding to mutation of a virus to be detected is obtained by polymerizing one of deoxyribonucleotides, including deoxyribonucleotide analogs, such as 1,N⁶-esenodeoxy adenosine-5'-triphosphate, fluorescein-modified deoxyuridine-5'- triphosphate, biotin-modified deoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate, biotin-modified dioxyadenosine-5'-triphosphate, digoxigenin-modified deoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate, and dinitrophenyl-modified deoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate, in the presence of a protein composed of thermostable DNA polymerase originating from cells which belong to Cellumococcus or Cellumus bacteria, with no template nor primers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
